Carmen Vidal-Hallett has more than 12 years of construction management experience. Projects range from 4 years with the Chicago Housing Authority developments to 5 years with corporate projects for Mid West Bank of America, and global projects for Bausch Lomb and Principal Finance as part of Jones Lang LaSalle. Carmen also worked for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a construction project manager for 3 years.
EVD construction management as an owner representative includes:
- Hiring the design team and the GC at the beginning of the project if it is a design-build team or just starting with the designers and proceed with the design-bid-build process.
- Administration of the budget and the schedule of the project during all phases of design and construction.
- Leading and scheduling meetings as needed during design and construction involving the design team, the GC and the owner.
- Advising the team on sustainability, safety and saving (SSS) along the entire project.
- Using the software platform desired by the owner for efficient communication.
- Providing assistance during the closing phase of the project.
